Macro Photography - insects in wonderland!

The WonderLand series by Nadav Bagim,  are one of the most amazing macro photos we’ve ever seen. By using a unique but rather simple and elegant artificial lighting and household objects (from vegetables to plastic bags), Nadav shot those photos  in a miniature studio on his kitchen’s table with a Canon EOS 60D Camera, and a Canon 100mm f/2.8 Macro lens and Flashes.

The insects were found in his apartment and on plants outside his window and were not harmed during shooting. Such beautiful work and really impressive. We never thought insect can have that magical style photos, just like something out of a childhood storybook or a Disney/Pixar movie. And please notice, all those photos are real, NOT digital manipulations. [source]

Ribbon art for gift wrapping. Adorable!

Ribbonesia is the art project of illustrator Baku Maeda who, entranced by the often under-appreciated beauty and simplicity of ribbons, decided to launch a product line completely around the art of the ribbon. Combining his love for animals, Maeda set about creating a zoo of creatures like dogs, cats, birds, and other cute animals. This simple repetition of twist and bend sublime such rich expression of animals and it often capture the essence of life. Such talented work! I hope I can know how to make those lovely animal ribbons which will definitely help to improve my gift wrapping and give others an memorable impression. [source]
