Woot! Unusual Refrigerator

Modular Refrigerator

It's hard to get the perfect refrigerator for students. Although living in the same dorm, everyone wants a single space and the number of the students in every dorm is not the same. This brilliant design from the Electrolux Design Lab competition 2008 gives us a great solution. Designer: Stefan Buchberger. (Link | Via)

Tree House Refrigerator

This refrigerator design concept is more weird than it is beautiful. Its midsection is like the trunk of a tree, and it has five container/cabinets arrayed around it that resemble tree branches. Push a foot switch and the motorized main section opens. (Link)

Woot! Unusual Google Doodle

Google's August 29th logo celebrated Michael Jackson's birthday a couple of months after his death. The two Os in Google were replaced with two feet, en pointe, wearing patent leather shoes and shiny white socks below slightly-too-short trousers.

Google's Doodle for world cup 2010 final with the 3 most important elements of that day: Spain, Netherlands and Octopus Paul.

On Friday, 21 May 2010, on the 30th anniversary of the arcade game Pac-Man, Google unveiled worldwide their first interactive logo. Anyone who visited Google could play Pac-Man on the logo, which featured the letters of the word 'Google' on the Pac-Man maze. The logo also mimicked the sounds the original arcade game made. The "I'm Feeling Lucky" button was replaced with an "Insert Coin" button. Pressing this once enabled you to play the Pac-Man logo. Pressing it once more added a second player, Ms. Pac-Man, enabling 2 players to play at once, controlled using the W,A,S,D keys, instead of the arrows as used by Player 1. Pressing it for a third time performed an "I'm Feeling Lucky" search. It was then removed on Sunday, May 23, 2010, initially replacing Pac-Man with the normal logo. Later on that day, Google released a permanent Google Pac-Man site, due to the popular user demand for the playable logo. (Link)

Woot! Creative Chicken Coop Design

Remembered when I was a child, my father defended many chickens in backyard.  He built a small chicken coop and it is my job to feed them everyday!
Chickens aren’t cuddly. They won’t sit in your lap (or at least I wouldn’t try). But, they’re reliable, produce eggs for food and are actually sometimes quite good pets. And with all the talk of chickens being kept as pets in urban areas, I decided to write a post about some creative chicken coop designs. Maybe you can try this too.

The eglu has wooden perching bars and a generous nesting box for egg laying – all the practical features that your chickens need. As well as this come thoughtful extras such as the modern twin walled insulation and draught free ventilation that keeps your chickens warm in winter and cool in the summer.

Woot! Stunning Photography of SNAKE

What animal has inspired as much dread, as many legends, indeed, as much revulsion and terror as the snake? Honestly, I am always scared of this type of animal, deadly and cold. I don’t know how Guido Mocafico put those snakes together and shot those stunning photos. And if you like those photos, you can find more on Guido’s website (here and here ) or buy his book about these photos on amazon.
